I’m so fortunate. The other part of my farmer couple was available today - spent a good half hour picking her brain about food storage for winter months. She was so kind and willing to share her experience with me. Came away with a pretty solid plan for Dec - Feb/Mar when they reopen next spring.

Thursdays are 🌮truck night. Asked the gal’s name a while ago (it’s Cheli) & always thank her for making me dinner. Lately she’s been watching for me & when she sees me round the corner she throws open the window, leans out & yells ‘HELLO MAY-LEE-SA’. I’m always so relieved to see she’s there & okay.

cast on a few easy projects from my queue for sports knitting — took 20 years but finally figured out how to tension yarn correctly for long-tail cast on (turns out you can teach an old 🐶 new tricks) — 200 stitches took 5 min instead of a half hour — also collected some acorns 🍂🍂🍂 #Knitting #Maker 🧶
I'm under no illusions about how things are or what the trajectory is. But I'm also excited for the future because that is where I will hang out with the people I care about and do the things I like doing, or haven't done before. Weird but telling that this holds less appeal for much richer people.
