It’s not even my bookshop and the very first thing I’ve noticed was the amount of traces Crowley has left all around it over the years, systematically going through Aziraphale’s books and letters, writing something himself, and even drinking cocoa from his angel’s favourite mug.

Last look at Aziraphale’s bookshop counter and desk from Good Omens 2, just as it was left after Crowley’s morning cleanup and the Final Fifteen.First look at the same part of the bookshop from Good Omens 3. There’s a general sense of disarray and being more lived in than before, with open books and loose papers everywhere and a desk lamp lighting up a part of the desk with a fountain pen resting on top of some documents and a cocoa mug that weren’t there before.

Asa’s bookshop may have a Berwick Street address plate, but is actually located in the old Bloemfontein building on 22 Great Chapel Street in Soho, London. It’s open for Good Omens fans as Mr. Fogg’s The Hat Tavern & Gin Club, Purveyors of Great Beer, Fine Gin, & Superb Top Hats.

Friendly reminder that 1992 Aziraphale has the most badass scene in the whole Good Omens multiverse to date, taking a 180 degree turn from his usual fluffy principality we all know and love to the real angel of wrath protecting Crowley from harm — Satan himself — in his true form.

CROWLEY begins to TRANSMUTE into a snake. SATAN (cont.) Goodbye, worm. AZIRAPHALE (off) Let him go. AZIRAPHALE looks like we last saw him. A real ANGEL. He’s HOVERING ten feet above the ground. He extends his hand - the KNIFE LEAPS up from the floor into his hand. AZIRAPHALE holds the knife out toward SATAN. SATAN An angel. A real angel. You’ve betrayed me, Crowley. You little snake. AZIRAPHALE Let him go. SATAN I’m the lord of this world; I’m the Great Beast of Darkness. I made war on God Almighty himself. I was the angel with the guts to rebel against our father - while the rest of you were just singing hosannas and twanging your harps. I had balls. So if you think I’m scared of you, little angel... He opens his MOUTH. A roaring stream of FIRE SPURTS out, hitting AZIRAPHALE head on. AZIRAPHALE screams, and, BURNING, TUMBLES to the floor. The knife falls to the floor. SATAN VAPORISES it with a glance - it turns to LIQUID METAL and hisses away, leaving a KNIFE-SHAPED MARK on the floor.

Bibliosmia, the comforting smell of old books, is a mix of vanilla, almond, and earth-like volatile organic compounds created during the breakdown of cellulose and lignin in pages or bindings. Aziraphale has lived in his bookshop for centuries, so its scent envelops both him and his clothes.

Louis Ralph has uploaded a few new Good Omens 3 concept artworks to his portfolio: looks like the South Downs cottage garden was supposed to be filled with flowers and alcohol on long-haired Anthony’s side, preserves and cakes on Asa’s, their left-right positioning back to normal.

Anthony is dressed in tight black clothing and sitting like Crowley; Asa has Aziraphale’s glasses on and a walking stick.

I’m not part of the script department or by any means someone who decides or knows for sure - but - as someone who was a lifelong fan even before I worked on it, I believe that they love each other beyond any cosmic rules set by a single entity. To me, they will always persist beyond everything.

Anthony’s brighter hair with fluffy white streaks and Asa’s darker hair with neatly styled waves are a sign of Aziraphale and Crowley not only transcending the order of the universe, but mixing their essences in the process. They’re halves of the same being now, never separate.

As much as I love Till’s bookshop as a location, the lighting inside of it doesn’t really highlight the fluffiness and white streaks of Anthony’s hair as well as intended, judging by the BTS photos, but the buttoned-up collar and lapels scream bookshop Aziraphale.Asa’s neatly styled waves are much more visible and easy to recognise as a less voluminous parallel to Crowley’s though, just like the open collar and subtle neck chain.A screenshot from Good Omens 3 depicting two sources of energy.And a following shot of an explosion mixing gold and red into white light where they meet.

On the South Downs, at the bottom of the Devil’s Dyke, there are two humps known as Devil’s Graves — or, more accurately, the Devil’s Grave and the Devil’s Wife’s Grave — under which a couple is believed to be resting side by side, keeping watch for trespassers. (1/3)
