I just discovered that the upper peninsula of Michigan is in central time zone just like the western panhandle of Florida. As someone who lives in that part of Florida, I sympathize with you. We are often forgotten or considered irrelevant!

It was 96 degrees here in the Florida panhandle with a heat index of 116 with an 8 mph wind. Suddenly, I hear someone in the neighborhood using a push mower. Even in the shade, these temps are dangerous. Don't be a hero! Cut the grass at dusk. Bug spray is much less hazardous than heat stroke.
