The beautiful beach at Armação de Pêra in the Algarve region of Portugal. It's a lovely area of Portugal to visit for a relaxing vacation. 🏖️🍹 #BlueskyMonday #Photography #ECK

On the beach there are many rows of umbrellas and lounge chairs. The front two rows of umbrellas are a cream colour and in the next row they are yellow and white. People are either walking along the beach, swimming, or taking advantage of the lounge chairs. In the distance are cliffs that curve around the water. Both the sea and the sky are a bright blue.

The largest wasp that I have ever seen. It is a female Great Black Wasp and appeared to be approximately 35 mm long (1.4 inches). Taken yesterday. #BlueSkyArtShow #Big #Photography #ECK

Only part of the wasp is visible as he curls over the edge of a pink milkweed flower to extract the nectar. His bright orange legs, and black and orange body, identify him as a Great Golden Digger Wasp. They are solitary wasps and are non-aggressive. They build their nests underground. Behind the wasp is a large narrow pointed leaf and beyond that the background is blurred green and black.
