I develop stuff, play ttrpgs, drink coffee and a do just a bit of theatre. Now technically a roleplaying game adventure writer: https://yttikon.itch.io/

My Appendix N Jam project is shaping up, but I've got a lot of stuff and little space. I've already decreased font size and margins. Guess I should try that "concise writing" thing next, so I can find room for that random table of Ogre love letters. For now, here's a teleportoad. #appxnjam

Just played a ttrpg (Cairn) with my parents for the first time. They made it safely through the Demonitorium. Fun to share my hobby, and a dungeon I created on vacation with them. I didn't have random tables when I made it, so I used my mum. Now she got to see what her water lily suggestion led to.

2025 ttrpg status: Played Burning Wheel, Trail of Cthulhu, Vaesen and BitD Deep cuts. Vaesen is by far my favorite of those. GM'ed Swords of the Serpentine, Cairn 2e, and Carbon Grey. I also put 3 one page adventures on itch, beating my previous record of 0. All in all a good year ttrpg wise.

5 TTRPGs I want to try in 2025: 🔥 Burning wheel (already made a character) 🪦 Delta Green 🔍 Trail of Cthulhu 🤵 Night's black agents ⚔️ Cairn I've never played gumshoe before, maybe this is the year.

Tonight I played Warhammer 40k for the first time in many years. We didn't get far with the battle, but it was super fun, and we were able to leave the table, so The Greater Good may prevail next week.

You're panicked, you're blind in the darkness, you've left your party, and you're not wearing armor. "It's fine, I continue north" And thus Yarrow heroically sacrificed himself, so that the burrowing horror should not go hungry to bed tonight. #cairn is fun.

Can anyone recommend some reading about creating interesting combat encounters in #osr #ttrpg games? (Specifically #cairn)? Like combining resilient enemies with glass cannons, interesting environment, or objectives other than just killing. What else is out there, and where do I read about it?

I GMed Swords of the Serpentine tonight. The players book from the bottom of the ocean finally dried, and the waves came to swallow Eversink. PCs completed a ritual in time, saving the city. Good. Was afraid Eversink wouldn't survive our third adventure. What a fun system. #TTRPG #GUMSHOE

We just ended our over a year long Forbidden Lands campaign. By far the longest I've GM'ed. Super fun, with moments like - A failed stealth roll causing the players to "accidentally" capture a town. - A player fighting his immortal father with the others rushing to unimmortalize the father. #ttrpg
