We mourn the passing of Charles (Shmuel) Nydorf, an expert in Yiddish dialectology, Yiddish cultural activist, and former member of Yugntruf's executive board. Dr. Nydorf was the longtime coordinator of the Language and Culture Atlas of Ashkenazic Jewry at Columbia University.
