One trait I took away from races in Issue 58 of d12 Monthly is any sort of racial darkvision/infravision. Elves get low-light vision & dwarves get deepvision. This means torches, lanterns, or magic are a must & it keeps darkness scary. #DungeonsAndDragons #TTRPG #DnD
