Yurifying the universe~ I casually write about feminism & (trans)gender studies. https://yuriina.carrd.co

from what I understand, next season is more lacking in the yuri than what we have gotten this year thus far, however regardless of that I feel SO blessed to have been able to watch two yuri's in botan kamiina and kimishinu, for which I personally consider to be 10/10 omg what a time to be a yuri fan

4- THE GREATEST WITCH OF EM ALL, a wandering witch you could say, Elaina! for 2 years now Elaina has been a constant presence in my readings, or even through conversations with goofy discord stickers. She is also genuinely an amazing grey character who is funny yet fascinating in her decision making

I think trans women can reinvent femininity and this kind of tweet reinforce toxic compulsory performativity it's transphobia because you'd never say this for cis women who have consistently reshaped feminine norms

3-Suou Shirahane from Flowers VN. One of the greatest protagonists and characters ever, her development is incredibly multi-faceted and complex while remaining an enjoyable character to follow her story with. I first read flowers as a teenager and since then suoh has been a massive role model for me

If gender studies were taught in high school humanities like a real academic field, it'd make a real difference in fighting transphobia and misogyny The fuel of those is ignorance of gender and the belief in "biological sex" as a concept

kind of darkly funny that "gender studies" is the stereotypical "useless degree" because gender studies will help you understand a large and important chunk of the current psychosis in american life
