It was my daughter’s 6th Birthday. I was blowing up a balloon when the 2nd plane hit the building! My daughter refused to celebrate her birthday on the day for years afterwards. She just couldn’t bring herself to celebrate on that day 😞

The worse day ever! I’m always a bit dismayed when young people just don’t seem to understand how horrific 9/11 was for the victims who were directly impacted and by the country as a whole. 😔

Thank you for your service! My husband is retired NYPD - there on 9/11 - out at the dump as well searching for ... well I don't have to tell you! He got hurt during that attack and the aftermath, disability retired at 18 years. Never Forget!

My wife and I were friends with John Burnside, lost that day. He was a good, good man. He had been a cop, but he didn't like being adversarial with people, so he switched to the NYFD.

Here in Tokyo I had CNN on as everything happened in real-time one after another. Unbelievably shocking memories.

I will never forget that day. Grateful for your service. My father was a Fire Chief. Gone but never, ever forgotten. Wishing you and your family a safe and uneventful holiday.

I was at the Navy Recruiting headquarters on Long Island that day. I watched the second plane go in from my office window. I’ll never forget.

I was off that day and my wife called me to say the Pentagon was just attacked. She said turn on the TV which I immediately did just moments before the 2nd plane crashed into the 2nd tower. A truly sad day in America! My dad; Also a fireman would have driven in from RI but cancer took him at age 52.
