I don't have words for this. The Lavra is sacred for so many historical and cultural reasons for Kyiv, Ukraine, and the world. This doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but my grandmother worked at the hospital here for decades. It feels like some family history was set on fire today.

Moral injury is the distress that occurs in response to betrayal by authority structures and being unable to prevent acts that go against one’s deeply held values and moral beliefs.
