Book 147 📚 for 2026. The historian does a great job in presenting the past without (much) judgment or presentism, but definitely lets you know where they stand at the close. A very interesting book for sportsball fans/followers of urban development. Available everywhere, including your #LocalLibrary

Book 146 📚 for 2026. A look into how Vietnam rended the soul of Americans, as viewed through two different lenses. Writer does a good job of taking the threads & showing the commonalities behind what would appear to be different stories. Good book. Available everywhere, including your #LocalLibrary.

@chawkeye.bsky.social discovered today that I have been setting the clocks about five minutes earlier in the bedroom than the rest of the house so he can get to his desk on time for work. (For about the past two years or so.) Um sorry not sorry?

Book 145 📚 for 2026. #NotAllLatinos This book describes how the forces of tribalism, traditionalism and political trauma make the Latino/x population in the US anything but political monolith. It was a vivid, entertaining read; anecdotal, but good. Available everywhere, including your #LocalLibrary
