During this July I came across the Black-Crowned Night Herons again, which I originally first came across in October of last hear while #birdwatching / hanging out with a friend. Before I saw them in person, like the egrets, I thought they were gonna be.. much larger. 😅 Instead they're small goobers
While out #birdwatching again recently I finally hunted down a Marsh Wren, who I've heard on countless occasions but haven't seen until recently. Little bugger kept darting around, but did surface to the top of the many reeds to look around and also call. Took me ages to find among the reeds. 😭👍

Head back out to clear the head with #birdwatching again, finally got a few decent pictures of a (Cliff) Swallow. Big 'ol swarm of 'em were constantly flying around and moving from place-to-place, hard to get any focused areal photos but a juvenile was kind enough to stay still for me while perched.
Cut back a tree, utilized the branches for a scrappy WIP card display from some early physical (messy) prints from my card game, ft. some of the early VTubers in it. Still want to add side borders, but it's nice to have for now. Names of VTubers in alt text. 👌

Been a little quiet recently, got extremely short-notice news that my job is moving forward with AI in my position being 100% mandatory, and as of today I'm now forced to use AI. 😑 Gonna be looking for a new job, I can't support this stupidity. Don't have any good words to say about my stress RN...
Early drop slime card designs for each type (Psychic, Dark, Vigor, and Nature respectively). I have several things setup to try and ensure each deck has access to early leveling, with these guys but also another set that have some leveling, lv.1 skill cards that similarly give levels, and others. 🧫
Have about 94 unique artpieces (some sloppy/WIP) for cards, and about other 201~ cards that have card designs but have no unique card art to them. Hopefully playtesting the game for the first time on Monday. 😭 A wee bit exhausted but excited.

😀 I got to see a Hooded Oriole in the backyard!! 😭 It's a female Hooded Oriole tho so it's not the bold orange & black. Also saw some at the park while hunting the Western Tanager (didn't see Tanager tho). This thing loves to taunt me, but now I know at least one is feeding in our yard.
Crappy telephone pole wire photos of my current arch-nemesis: the male Hooded Oriole. First bird I saw, in the backyard, that got me interested in seeing birds are now in season again.. and they HATE me. 😭 My goal is a nice close photo, since close is how I first saw them and they're SO PRETTY.
