Under Eisenhower, we had 90+% marginal tax rates for top earners. That created the middle class of the 50s and 60s that allowed kids to go to college for almost nothing. It funded the interstate highway system. It funded the space race. It works. People are just too fucking stupid to understand it.
I still suspect a lot of the reason Doug Ford is so anti-speed cameras is the fact that they don't care who's breaking the speed limit. A cop doing a radar gun speed trap will probably let politicians and influential business folks off the hook from time to time. A speed camera doesn't.
