FWIW a lot of Red Sox world is not very happy with what they had to give up for a year and 1/3 of Rutschman. Now that the initial sting of it has worn off, I’ll definitely acknowledge it was a massive haul. 🤷🏻

this might very well make sense according to the numbers but you can't quantify what this means to the fanbase. There are people on Reddit being like "WTF, I named my kid Adley." There was an expectation he would be here for most of his career.

Just speaking in terms of vibes, trading Adley would be a major slap in the face to fans of this team. So many kids bought his jersey when he came up. It's still the jersey I see most when I'm out and about. It speaks to a fundamental misunderstanding of Baltimore sports tradition and history.
