I present three maps of Titan: one in visible "true" colors (albedo scaled and gamma corrected), one in enhanced colors (linear albedo scale with a factor of five), and one of the lakes. In this thread, I will briefly describe how the impenetrable haze was bypassed.
Ganymede in 1979 from Voyager 2 (mosaic) true color, processed from the raw data using @askaniy.bsky.social's TrueColorTools I used 9 OGBV frames for this processing. the edge of the disk is slightly cut off, so a small rendered view was inserted and spliced in. manual processing took ~3.5 hours 🧪🔭

Today on arXiv: The recent JWST TRAPPIST-1 e papers. They are somehow not even the biggest news in the list. Today's arXiv day's absolutely stacked.
So uh, there's a new interstellar object discovered at Chile yesterday. Name is A11pl3Z, has a hyperbolic trajectory of eccentricity 14±4 (WTF). Currently appmag 18, 4 AU away from Earth, and coming to 2 AU perihelion this October. (tagging🔭☄️) Observing it with remote scope rn, calling astronomers..

Hiya! Over the past few months I've been silently working on several astronomy projects. Here's what I've been up to lately! 🔭☄️🧪 1. I discovered a Kuiper belt object! (2013 CG269) 2. I'm coauthor of a brand new paper by @renerpho.bsky.social et al. on the rotation of asteroid Bradyharan! (1/11)
Summer Eledeni - haven't had a lot of time to work on my worldbuilding projects, so here's filler content instead
