It's a little silly to me how often Law & Order goes after the death penalty, and how scared the defendants are of it. There hasn't been a state execution since 1968, nor a federal execution in New York since 1954. And sure, the average defendant might not know, but their lawyer certainly would.

An irony of people being upset if I question their spelling is that they are all "does that make you feel superior?" Like... no, not at all. In fact, quite the opposite. Many times I'm asking to clarify that I'm interpreting it right, because it might just be a new word and *I'm* mistaken.
