The thing that gets me is he was very outspoken in june about his stance, and he isnt a performative person about his values. He's genuine. So im not apologizing for being confused AF about this turn of events. I can explain it in a pragmatic sense, but Im going to be very loud about not liking it.

It is definitely true that they don't owe us that. But that doesn't mean we aren't allowed to 1) feel disappointed or 2) talk about that disappointment when there is a clash of values.
