We hear this at mothership allll the time and it makes me so extremely sad. As an editor you have a responsibility to protect your writer from lack of clarity, falsehoods, and poor structure. Which also means if things go wrong the editor is also at fault!!

It has made me feel very self-conscious because I'm not sure if I'm writing anything good or not. It has also robbed me of opportunities to grow out of bad habits because I don't even know if they are bad.
