I've heard that the GC event in Belfast encouraged people to join trans supportive groups in order to change 'hearts and minds' from within. Organisations need to take note that this is most certainly a problem and it needs nipped in the bud.

Folks, Roz is right. I don't know what the fuck we're doing here, but Roz is right. Maybe it's because I'm Northern Irish, but I can safely say that militant action does not work. It alienates potential allies, and gives endless propaganda fodder transphobes in power.

Who won the battle for civil rights? Martin or Malcolm? Who won Indian freedom? Gandhi or Bose. I'm not advocating silence. I'm advocating strategic daring allied to tactical prudence. Individual adventurism will fail . Collective action will keep allies on side.

Ukraine Foreign Affairs Minister: "We have detected intensive Russian propaganda campaign across Europe using pictures from Ceuta to sow destabilisation." Far-right from EU (& US!) falls with open eyes for hybrid threats from the weaponisation of migration, even fan the flames. #unity #solidarity

Between this, all the cases of AI psychosis, the measurable negative effects on cognition and skill retention, and all the environmental damage, I'm really coming around to the idea that all LLMs should come with a mandatory health warning, at minimum.

As always when it comes to this case, I find it absolutely wild how hard police in England are cracking down on Palestine Action supporters, while police in Northern Ireland do absolutely nothing against local paramilitary organisations proscribed under the same law.

I can’t believe these arrests are still happening - the new PM could end this utterly absurd proscription if he chose. As Jonathon Porritt says - trying to save lives is not terrorism. Exposing this government’s complicity in genocide is not terrorism

Big yikes. This is going to cause harm to all trans people in England. Not just by outing them, but also by ignoring the reality that transition changes your body and its medical risk factors. There is a serious risk that the wrong reference ranges will now be used in tests for trans patients.

"Sex at birth (observed)" is now a mandatory data item in the NHS core information standard (v2.0.1). It also appears (if I am reading this correctly) that gender identity and pronouns have been removed. The NHS are transphobic as fuck!!! standards.nhs.uk/published-st...

Do I have an teachers working in Northern Ireland schools who'd be willing to chat to me about some trans stuff, totally anon and off the record if needs be. I just have some questions. Ideally from a protestant school, a catholic school and an integrated?

This was a fascinating exercise: find out what went wrong with creativity in the games industry. The conclusion: there are too many cowards controlling too many critical levers, and until we figure out how to put people -taste, creativity, and craft- back at the top, we're going to be stuck.

The games industry is stifled by a culture of fear, concludes a workgroup hosted by Rami Ismail. https://bit.ly/4vPbIzv
