it's incredible how many games i've enjoyed significantly more after muting the music. so many indie games have terrible looping background music that never varies in intensity

It happened again, this time doing the odyssey questline. surprisingly similar stats in terms of time taken, raids and lost colonists. This marks 2,266 hours in RimWorld (over 8 years).

A screenshot from my latest Rimworld game. It features a gravship that has a large storeroom, nutrient paste dispenser with food freezer, some recreational amenities (a billiards table, chess, and singles 1x2 dining table). There are 6 bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom is significantly larger to accommodate baby amenities, and there are several hospital beds sharing each room. There is a temple/mausoleum at the fore of the ship, alongside a room containing the pilot and comms consoles. There is a workshop with two fabrication tables, a tailoring bench and smithy (other tables are swapped out when needed). There is a facility with biosculpting pods and neural super-chargers. There is a half-sized hydroponic farm. The aft of the ship are the thrusters, attached to a room with two large chemfuel tanks, six chemfuel generators, two fuel optimisers and a chemfuel refinery. Everything is powered by a symmetrical (nice) array of 10 solar panels and 8 batteries, with three circuit breakers to avoid explosive disasters. Finally, the port side of the ship has an exterior platform with a long-range mineral scanner and an orbital scanner. probably the fastest i've ever completed a rimworld game. 69% threat scaling, trying to save scum less if i take losses. Only one of my original three colonists survived, but i managed to convert everyone to my religion before we took off

There are walls surrounding everything, and spike traps strewn about. The interstellar ship is nestled in the base between everything.
