SportsRadio WFAN in NYC audio production since 1989. Democrat/Liberal/Skeptic/Cynic/Atheist I serve a cat & listen to Prog Rock. Prefident of the United States.
I'll say that I've mostly enjoyed my time on Bluesky because it isn't filled with hateful assholes like X is. That said, yeah, more sports leagues and writers on here would be a good thing.
Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."
This is some really sick shit from the Republicans reported here. Just change their name to the Epstein Party.
An initiative on the ballot in Washington state in November would require all athletes seeking to play girl's sports from kindergarten to high school to undergo "genetic screening, a testosterone-levels test, or an examination of their reproductive anatomy" before they can play
Big news. JJ Watt already named as replacement in the booth.
Tony Romo has been sidelined indefinitely at CBS Sports after he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I don't gamble. I just spend $100 on a whim on Chewy for my cat.
It's a work from home day in the radio business. Why? Because with this rain and flooding - I ain't going out there.
Social media can be such a lonely place for the regular user. It sometimes gets depressing. However, the key, I think, is to not give a shit and just say whatever you want and if people don't notice say it some more. Who cares? Say it.
The Mickey Guyton song "All Americans" still gets to me and makes me sad that so many people in this country just don't get it.
Love using this app as an audience member for the 20 main characters talking exclusively to each other. Great spectator sport.
I'm very proud of having graduated high school in the top 100% of my class.
I've noticed that the engagement for unverified people on Bluesky is even worse than it was on Twitter.
Just saw $4.19 a gallon on Union Turnpike in Queens. Great job, Trump.
I know it's cliche to say, "Just Google it," whenever someone asks a question that could've been searched in ten seconds. But, c'mon, on Reddit you'll get the answer faster if you just search "cowcatcher" than replying the question.
When I want to read junk-lit, for example romantasy, I don't care if my prurient way of enjoying it isn't the proper way to read it. You enjoy it like you want and I'll enjoy it like I want.
Jon Anderson & The Band Geeks last night in NYC. Just a phenomenal show. The band is absolutely perfect and it's hard to believe that energetic guy who can still sing is 81 years old. So glad I finally got a chance to see this after catching bits and pieces on YouTube. New songs were done well live.
Sitting here in the nightmare that is Times Square waiting to go see Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks do their Yes classics show. I will remind myself not to be in this area again if I can avoid it.
How is this weak turd still in office? What an absolutely useless person.
Q: You argue that Iran violated the MOU. But isn't the MOU flawed since it explicitly acknowledges Iran has power in the Strait of Hormuz? MARCO RUBIO: That's certainly not the way we interpreted it
Head of the National Association for the Advancement of Privileged People.
Sean Hannity tries to gas up Darlene Graham's thin resume: "You've had your own life and success. You have been the commissioner of South Carolina's commission for the blind. You've held this position since 2019. It's a 130 person agency, $90 million budget you ran... you've got a lot of experience"
Apparently some sort of apocalypse is about to be unleashed in NYC because that sky does not look good at all.
I know journalists get frustrated by comments that are more emotional that reacting to points in the article. Going to a comment section for the discussion and seeing the journo scolding people like a school principal is tiring and condescending.
I can't say enough how good the new Infowars @realinfowars.bsky.social is. Everything about it is quite literally perfect.
All around Trump Tower is blocks of traffic because that tub of lard is coming to NYC. Some of us would like to get home sometime today.
Do journos with less than pleasant personalities really wonder why people don't want to read their work?
To all the people on the left who didn't vote for Kamala Harris because of Gaza and all the Latin people who didn't vote for her because of delusions and all the indie voters who only care about the price of eggs - congratulations. The people who didn't want forever wars thank you for joining them.
The U.S. appeared to expand its targets in Iran, and Iranian forces on Thursday launched more attacks on bases belonging to U.S. allies in the Middle East, as the fighting over control of the Strait of Hormuz extended into a sixth straight day. Follow live updates.
