It's surprising that more Mothership stat blocks isn't this kind of thing C:? I:? ?d10 dmg W:2 DR:10 Super easy to run, but a little less fragile than the Wounds-only blocks sometimes used in Gradient Descent for example

There's a lot of stuff we have done in the past which turned out to be a bad idea. So we stopped doing it. It's difficult for me to accept the inevitability of [things] knowing this. But I am worried there are not enough people standing up and saying "this is a bad idea" in 2026.

Been paying attention to how far I can see since watching the "3 mile hex delusion" video (as in, at what distance can I make out any kind of detail at ground level), it's probably like 750m in one direction with particularly good sightlines. Most directions its 100m at best

Kaepora Gaebora's first monologue is ludonarratively resonant; not only in the way it provokes irritation and impatience, but for some players it also provides the delayed frustration of wondering if there was anything important that you missed in your exasperation

Finished reading the Cloud Empress rulebook. Really enjoyable read. I didn't expect how much the setting book would feel like required reading by the end. Cloud Empress is *specific* and the rule book doesn't give you a great idea of those specifics

I got the Cloud Empress Starter box. So far, it's exactly what I've been craving *as reading material*: mechanically interesting (the magic system seems incredible, and I like the variation on Mothership's stress system) plus nice world-building
