Horror comedy thing where the protagonist finds themself in a Silent Hill-esque psychological horror world based on their trauma and person flaws, but it just really misunderstands them. Like it keeps doing a bunch of metaphors for parental abuse but the protagonist's parents were actually fine.

I'm planning to stream tomorrow, but haven't quite decided on what to stream. I'll still aim for noon CST, as usual, but I'm considering being more flexible with the scheduling, since I think I could stream a lot more often if I weren't so anxious about the timing.

I've said it before, but like with Leontiel now, it almost feels like FromSoftware is actively counting on dataminers to look into the files and show this stuff. There's a weird elegance to it, honestly, where it lets them slip in details without needing to contrive a scenario to show them ingame.

There are some occasional risks to becoming a dinosaur.

I'm split between laughing at how absurd this looks, and sad because it couldn't have happened to a gentler soul. I'm so sorry, Gargoyle.

I did my best to get a good shot of all of the Kin, but their behavior made that a bit tricky for some of them. The smaller Kin try to stay very close and face away from you. Baritone also sadly has a large circular VFX that's active at all times, so ignore the white fluff in front of his face.

For the final Duskbloods session, I played a round as every Bloodsworn and managed to at least make it to the grail with all of them besides Zork. I've never been into heavy weapons, so I sadly didn't mesh with Zork's kit. I could see some appeal in most of the others, but I heavily favor Layla.

Everyone in my usual discord voice chat has adopted the phrase "straight up Zorkin it".

I kind of hit a stride and won like every game I played last Duskbloods session. I'll be eager to see what other goals exist in the final game, because the PvP showdowns don't quite give me the same satisfaction as like a new Nightlord fight in Nightreign.

I was honestly feeling a bit gloomy about The Duskbloods after the first session, largely because it didn't feel like I had a strong sense of what I should be doing, but today's session was really a big turnaround. I actually won most of my games and had a lot of fun trying things out.

My most important takeaway from The Duskbloods so far: It sadly seems like all the characters are the same height. I was really curious what sort of overlap there might be from Nightreign on a like, design framework level, and if nothing else, it seems like they didn't get the height values.
