Zyonji

@zyonji.bsky.social

I'm an artist. (:

As this summer is already very hot, I channeled the heat into an experimental painting! I also just really enjoy spending some time to do a finely rendered portrait. (:

A portrait of Zyonji, the anthropomorphic striped hyena, set against a background emanating an intense heat.

I really don't enjoy the heat of summer, so I decided make an autumn princess themed painting! It's definitely time to get ready for Halloween now. c:

A painting of Zyonji, the anthropomorphic striped hyena, sitting in an autumn themed scene. Grass on the floor, an umbrella in the back and orange maple leaves floating through the air. Zyonji wears an orange dress and orange bow tied in the hair.

Did some Casualties: Unknown drawings after I played the demo for a bit. It's a really stressful game, with steep learning curve, but that also makes it very rewarding to advance!

Four colored drawings of Expies from Causalities: Unknown. From left to right and top to bottom, the first is an Expie sitting similar to the game's intro scene. Then an Expie wearing a foliage sling bag and holding a flimsy knife and emergency light. Then an Expie wearing some clothes and a big backpack, crouched down by a water pool with a manchette in hand. Finally, an Expie wearing a maid uniform and holding a first aid bag.

I need to start a taxonomy/linguistics controversy today! If whales aren't fish, then elephants have hooves. If elephants don't have hooves, then whales are fish. Also, if elephants don't have hooves, then whales do have hooves. I need some scientist to complain to, over definitions here!

I started this painting a couple of weeks ago, but half way through, I got real sick. Endless coughing; couldn't get anything done. I ended up struggling quite hard to finish this painting. I suspect that feeling might have had an impact on the overall mood of this piece.

Zyonji the anthropomorphic striped hyena sitting on an abstract staircase while wearing a muzzle. An orange halo is behind their head and they hold orange fabric to their chest, letting the cloth flow down all the way to the ground.

A grand throne for emptiness. I originally wanted this to be a more simple painting to practice pushing for more extreme poses, but then I enjoyed the composition that much, that I ended up rendering it to a more complete piece.

Which painting softwares are now commonly used by digital artists? Seeing how blender is now widely adopted, I wonder if any open source painting software got popular like that too.

The beauty of a spring cleaning. Portraits are one of my favorite painting formats and I haven't made one for myself in a bit, so I made one once again!

Zyonji the anthropomorphic striped hyena is folding laundry from the clothesline. The scene is set outside on a stone tile floor with grass, moss, and poppies growing from the gaps between the tiles. In the bottom right corner is a white laundry basket containing a folded black cloth and next to it is a red basket filled with clothespins. In the background of the top half of the painting are multiple clotheslines with large fabrics hung up on them with clothespins. The cloths are in various grey and red tones. Zyonji is currently folding a large red cloth, while wearing a black dress with frilly white apron in the style the classic French maid uniform.

I made a new portrait for myself! Portraits are one of my favorite painting formats and I haven't made one for myself in a bit, so I made one once again.

A portrait of Zyonji, the anthropomorphic striped hyena. The portrait is framed from the shoulders upwards with a hand gesturing in the bottom right corner and a grey knit top along the bottom border. Behind the head is a black halo and earrings adorn both ears.

The Sun. A symbol of positivity, happiness, and warmth. Something you're to everyone around you - even when you don't see it. Done for dearest friend Skamper/Terream.

This painting is a very subtle attempt to make you all intrigues for what it is about, because it's fanart in the style of a book cover for comic I personally think deserves more followers, which you can find here: @cascadeupdates.bsky.social! You would make me happy if you checked it out. c:

Bola, the anthropomorphic reptile woman in an abstract scene surrounded by a toothy creature and ants. In her hands an illustration of a man with child emitting a glowing aura.

Thank you guys so much for 5k followers! I’m really loving the little community we’ve made here 💙 it’s very cozy I’m not sure what kind of art I’m offering for this, I’d like to experiment a bit! So I’ll be choosing which character I like best to draw :3 I’ll pick the winner in a few days!

When the days are at their shortest. Lately I've been struggling to fall asleep at night and felt tired all day. It's been a struggle to the energy to do much of anything, but I at least managed to channel the experience into this painting. (:

Zyonji, the anthropomorphic striped hyena, wearing an oversized t-shirt and lying on a bed with grey sheets. On the bed also lie a smart phone, a frilly black pillow, a Spheal plush, a Dreepy plush, a Blåhaj plush, a grey rabbit plush, a white teddy bear with red soles, a Yi plush, a Ralsei plush, a Zyonji plush and a Red Lizard plush.

I have a book on my desk, which I've been meaning to finish for several months now. Please, help me ease my guilt for books left unread by participating in the contest I quoted here! (The book on my desk is about local legends and fairytales. A fascinating topic. I'm just too unfocused lately.)

Come to think of it, I haven't shared most of the art I've gotten of my hyena here on bluesky yet. I'll post all the ones I can find posted online somewhere in this threat! First, a painting made by me, so you know who I'm talking about. (:

Zyonji the anthropomorphic striped hyena.

I don't do those often, so I don't even know if double embeds like this work, but looking through all the art I got I stumbled across this one again and want more people to see it. Not just one of my favorites visually, but it also carries a lot of sentimental significance! bsky.app/profile/iben...
