Today marks 6 years since the Beirut Port Explosion, one of history's largest non-nuclear explosions. It killed +218 people, injured +7,000, and displaced+300,000 from their homes. Holding in my heart those whose lives were never the same and uplifting their calls for justice.🤍

Six years since the Beirut Port Explosion, we stand with the people of Lebanon and remember the lives lost, the thousands injured, and the families impacted. Today, we amplify the calls of those gathering on the ground to renew their calls for accountability and justice.

One problem is, that this short form makes taking on complex themes difficult and, honestly tedious. And macro economic post tends to get less popularity than 'big fire ball good'. But I'll take on one of the many interlinked ones and expand on Wildberries from tax angle, 🧵 1/12

This is a valuable contribution to the EU debate on how to manage geopolitical risks - such as weaponisation of migration. First it was Belarus, and now Ceuta. Enemies of the EU use migration as a tool to harm EU. Measures, procedures and above all solidarity between Member States is required.

Social media bans cannot be effectively enforced, and come with profound implications for everyone's human rights. Nevertheless the EU and Irish government seem hell bent on pushing through similar legislation here, without presenting a shred of evidence that such a ban will have a positive impact.

Australia’s eSafety commissioner buried a report (released Friday afternoon) that shows the under 16 social media ban didn’t tangibly reduce teen social media use, and also resulted in parents tuning out of kids usage. We traded our privacy for no reason. theconversation.com/more-than-80...
