"In the next (9) days all services on Autistici/Inventati servers will be turned off." How to back up your data on A/I services: keepitfree.ai/technical-up... Also keep an eye on accounts like @sabot.media and @oldsquida.bsky.social for updates and tips on backup and hosting.

If you have a NoBlogs site, preserve a copy of it now while the public pages are still reachable. Nobody can currently rely on WordPress admin access, so one practical option is HTTrack, a free tool that downloads a static copy of a public website. www.httrack.com 1/5

1/6 A/I may be ending. The story is nowhere near over. For twenty-five years, #AutisticiInventati showed what it could mean for movements to build and control their own communications infrastructure. Its loss should not send everyone searching for the next single service to replace it.

Alt text: Poster-style graphic on a black background reading, “A/I IS ENDING. SO WHAT DO WE BUILD NOW?” in large cream and red block letters. In the center is a screenshot-like view of the Boise Autonomous Solidarity Hub, or BASH, showing its colorful pixel-art logo and simple text-based NomadNet site. Along the left are the phrases “Publish local,” “Mirror everything,” “Learn the tools,” “Support independent media,” and “Build together.” Text on the right says one collective can be shut down, but a thousand projects cannot, and calls for people to control their own communications. Mountain, forest, radio-tower, and DIY zine-style illustrations frame the page. Across the bottom, large text reads, “WE DON’T NEED ANOTHER A/I. WE NEED A THOUSAND SERVERS,” followed by a note that Sabot is building a living guide to autonomous media and infrastructure, especially for small and rural projects.
