Tonight on the menu, grilled maple glazed pork chop, garden salad (cherry tomatoes and greens from my backyard) and roasted pumpkin seeds with a homemade vinaigrette, and beer in my Cthulhu stein.

On the menu today. Grilled top sirloin (medium rare), roasted potatoes with home made herb butter, and a French red. And four weeks before I’m back at work for my 25th year; five weeks until the students arrive back in class.
1/2 Y’all can probably hear the wind more than anything but I forgot Loud as Hell was taking place this weekend.
Oh Pierre!!! I’ve seen a lot of really good examples of the saying “people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones” but I do believe you have topped that list with this!
1/ Well that was quick. Either Wycliffe was thrown under the bus…
I’ve written repeatedly on the blog that far right groups inevitably implode, members WILL start infighting, and eventually the purity tests they enforce will continue to narrow those they believe are amongst the “in group”. This is all to say that the Dominion Society is certainly having a moment.
I would still usually be sleeping in at this point in the morning but I have someone who is coming to replace my security system. I was told between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm… 🫤 At least the morning outside is lovely.
UCP had their thumb on the scale all along. They rewrote laws to give Separatists an easier signature threshold, despite separatism lacking enough support to make it true contender. OF COURSE they're delegitimizing democracy. The other nine referenda are all proto-separatist too. knowthenine.ca
Stay in Canada. No to the Nine.

1/ Over the past several months that I’ve watched the Alberta separatists, it probably won’t be a surprise that there is a significant amount of bigotry and far-right conspiracy rhetoric in the ecosystem. One could do a big thread on that story, but this time went about that.
I’m not saying the sans-culottes were right about everything. All I’m asking if anyone knows where one could find a whetstone large enough for all of the guillotines. I’m kidding of course… 🤥😗🤫
Very cool that Shopify’s CEO thinks the poor should have far less of a vote than the rich. Still worth that ad read money, folks?
1/2 Today’s dinner. Grilled tuna with a garden salad (greens and tomatoes from my garden) and home made balsamic vinaigrette.

I took a second mortgage on my house to buy this small top sirloin, grilled medium done, will roasted potatoes and garlic cloves (I like mine crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside). Paired with a Haskap wine from Cypress Hills Winery on Saskatchewan in a Phoenician glass goblet.
1/2 After weeks of rain, I’m finally at home at a time when I can enjoy this.
Considering this is a movement that includes Jeff Rath and David Parker amongst their leadership, there is a lot of stone throwing going on in that glass house.
You know you are getting older when a yearbook from 1992 in which you are included (I was in grade 10) is found in an antique/junk store.

Well. Holy crap.
Tamara Lich wasn’t the only one at Pete Hoekstra’s Fourth of July bash I did a head count: Over a dozen Canadian far-right activists and right-wing alternative media personalities, (including from the Juno and Rebel media outlets) got invites to the US ambassador’s official residence
NEW: US Ambassador Pete Hoekstra hosted over a dozen far-right activists and right-wing media personalities at his ‘Fourth of July’ party in Ottawa this weekend The US Embassy says Freedom Convoy leader Tamara Lich, who was convicted on criminal charges last year, was accredited as a journalist
NEW: Alberta separatist leader David Parker has been named in a new class-action lawsuit on behalf of 2.9 million Albertans whose personal information is alleged to have been doxxed through the Centurion Project's voter mobilization app

1/2 So as I get eaten alive by mosquitoes…
First day of summer break. And for dinner a mustard glazed pork chop with my caprese salad featuring veg and herbs from the garden. The mozzarella cheese that I tore up is from the store, however I might look into making my own next time.
I can’t help be a wee bit dubious about this claim even though it is from the prestigious <checks notes> uhm… “Independent Polling Company”.
Well this was nice to receive at the Grad dinner. 🙂
