Cosmic Star Heroine raised $132k USD (and this was back during Kickstarter's heyday, cooler games than ours these days struggle to raise $100k). If we had actually gotten living expenses for everyone for the whole development, we would have needed to have raised closer to $1 million.

Getting funding for a game is difficult. Getting Kickstarter backing seems impossible because of wildly skewed expectations. Let me explain... So, for Eldritch 2, I'd be working alone. I'd ask for the lower end of my usual contract rate × the number of months I expect it'll take to finish the game.

Ocarina of Time is going to be interesting to see, less because it's a perennially lauded GOTY 10/10 masterpiece and more because said masterpiece is almost three decades old. It can't coast on its reputation if it wants to win an audience that grew up on BOTW. I'm curious how it'll accomplish that

Another old concept. Wanted to experiment with a re-imagined Sparkster / RocketKnightAdventures. Always fun to imagine what a potential sequel could look like, mixing elements from all the old games. I've always found the series mechanics really fascinating.

Sparkster or Rocket Knight from the series of the same name, standing on a grass island, surrounded by water. A wolf driving some kind of spiked machine is approaching on one wheel. In the back are submarines.

Laptop fan seems to have called it a day - 7 years of thankless service. I'm not an expert on computer maintenance, but trying to disassemble the thing and replace parts here at home won't work (lack of space, pieces getting lost or damaged, electric shorts or ESD, dust buildup etc).

Star Fox thoughts: I wish the voice direction picked a lane between serious and dramatic/hammy. The outer characters seem to skew serious, Fox/Falco/Slippy straddle the line fine enough, Peppy seems to go in a direction no-one else follows (not even Pigma), so it's extra jarring in the prologue

I've been away for so long but Im home now and as promised, we will have Devil May Cry 2 at 9PM EST. Come see the game that everyone sort of pretends doesnt exist. It's almost a real videogame.
