“A delightful blend of existential dread and dad humor, seasoned with tech geekery.”

My totally anecdotal opinion on using Fable as the model for my coding agent so far: It is nicer to use and generates better output, but holy Metz, it's expensive.

I've spent half of my professional life teaching less experienced programmers to take baby steps and let their progress – especially their tests – drive their design. How do you teach that to a machine that vomits code 10 steps ahead of the simplest of prompts?

Today's my last day at my job. As freelancer I might return at some point but then I might not. Which means I'm available: - EU-based - 20 years experience in level design, systems design, narrative design, technical design - programming background: Unreal, Unity - open to short-term gigs

Every time I shuffle into a Manowar song, I want to play an old school fantasy RPG like my beloved Rolemaster. It’s Pavlovian. Death to the false ones, dance on a string Till the blood on your sword in the BLOOD OF A KING!

I've waited decades to see Molly Millions outside of my imagination. She does not disappoint. Dina Meyer stole my heart when they changed Molly to Jane for Johnny Mnemonic, but Molly is the OG razorgirl.

Still from Neuromancer of Briana Middleton's Molly Millions

I am preparing the Destroyer of Worlds scenario for the ALIEN roleplaying game, and the more I study it, the less impressed I am. It looks good but is actually a bit shallow, with plot holes that get bigger every minute you spend looking at them. Which sums up Free League for me, unfortunately.

This month’s soundtrack is Megadeth’s “Angry Again”. Yes, it’s not a whole soundtrack, but just a song. I put it on repeat. I keep getting angry again.

I was a smart but lazy student in high school. Now I review PRs, and sometimes they are by smart but lazy programmers. So much negligence and so many lost opportunities. It is depressing and infuriating at the same time. And time-consuming. I feel for my past teachers now. Karma is a bitch.
