The Tories have selected a convicted former Neo-Nazi as a councillor. Here's why that reflects very poorly on Jeremy Corbyn.

I finished this yesterday, and it was terrific. I think funnier and even more beautifully realised than the last one.
It's astonishing to me that The Mermaid Mask has only been out for 2 and a half weeks and we've already got over 2000 reviews on Steam... (and 99% positive!)
When someone is described as "often controversial, never boring" in 2026 it just means: full nazi but also part of the establishment.

Every post which begins "it's not about left vs right" goes on to say something which is easily categorisable as either left or right. "It's not about left vs right, it's rich vs poor" Mmm, yes, what could be more neutral than the concept of class war.
Dracula, seeing a man seemingly dead:
I am going through Bram Stoker’s earliest notes on DRACULA today - they include a list of the powers and features of the Count (then named “Wampyr” before Stoker stumbled on “Dracula”), many of which are never elucidated in the book…
I would like to apologise and retract my (now deleted) posts, which never should have been published and do not reflect my views. I would like to clarify that Harry Potter versus the Wibbly Wobblies is an extremely good book and J. K. Rowling DID invent going "Wasaaaaap?"
Did you know you can listen to my previous show Nevermore in four parts on BBC Sounds? With what I assume must be AI generated blurbs that make it sound incredibly generic and unfunny. Enjoy my "playful linguistic missteps" and "a joke about coffee" ya filthy animals. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

Cool nerdy After Effects thing I learned from this: you can apply Pixel Motion Blur to rotoscoped animation and it totally works. BUT unless it's very subtle, the realistic blur stops it from looking like traditional cel animation and ruins the Roger Rabbity effect.

I posted a new sketch on YouTube, where it's meeting an audience who don't get the white gloves bit, have never heard of minstrel shows and are getting arsey when people explain.

I saw a post saying that any critic would get a backlash after trashing a popular film. And I'm just not sure that should be normal. It's fun when a critic hates something! We should want reviewers with high standards and weird/obtuse opinions. A film isn't a sports team you support!
I wrote about the Nolan Odyssey for the LRB. I'll summarize some of my main points below, in case you don't feel like reading all that. www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v4...

I saw an IMAX film once, and I had to keep turning my head to see bits of it. Like, you spent all that money making the film - why am I panning?
This supports my hypothesis that Sierra games appealed more to conservative/libertarians while LucasArts games appealed more to the left. Perhaps because you can't fail at LucasArts adventures? Must the conservative feel that he is forging his own destiny? In this essay I will

Just loving how John Cleese, now reduced to one of his own caricatures, rages about immigrants coming to the UK and failing to accept "our" culture, from his home in ... (checks notes) ... Nevis in the Caribbean.
