In a coordinated overnight operation on August 4, Ukrainian Defense Forces launched successful attacks on key Russian military infrastructure, including road and rail bridges, an FSB base, and multiple logistical targets. As part of its ongoing efforts to systematically degrade Russian military capabilities, Ukraine’s General Staff reported a series of strikes against high-value enemy assets. Among the targets hit were a temporary base of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) in Shchaslyvtseve, Kherson region, with losses among the Russian forces still being assessed, according to an official statement from Ukraine’s General Staff. Ukrainian forces also struck: - A road bridge over the Seym River near Zvanoye in Russia’s Kursk region, as well as a railway bridge over the Molochna River in Zaporizhzhia. Both bridges were used for military logistics, troop movements, and transferring equipment for the Russian army. - Enemy repair units in Volchanskoe, Zaporizhzhia region, and Volne in Donetsk region. - A command post and communications hub in Bakhmut. - In Russian-occupied Crimea, a communications relay and power facility supporting Geran/Herbera attack drones was destroyed in Olenivka, while an electronic warfare tower was hit in Artemivka. Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian drones damaged three Russian Wildberries logistics centers in the Tver, Moscow, and Leningrad regions overnight, disrupting supply chains. Additionally, on August 3, Ukrainian forces conducted successful strikes on a Russian artillery repair base, logistics warehouses, and a drone preparation and storage center.
