Last year I started work on a book all about the history of the PSP. I wanted to have it ready to launch the Kickstarter for the PSP’s 20th anniversary but I’ve taken on a few too many projects. It is going to happen but likely mid-2025. Designed by @playsushiuk.bsky.social of course. :)

It’s awesome how they used so much PlayStation iconography in the 15! Even the PS3 keyboard attachment and Buzz controllers are there!

The PSP was released 20 years ago today in Europe and Australia! To celebrate, I’ll be launching my next Kickstarter later today. On The Go is a 320 page hardback book all about the history of the PlayStation Portable.

When the PSP launched in the UK, it was priced £180. This was considered a good price at the time given how much it could do (gaming, movies, music, internet and photos). It sold 185,000 units in three days and was (at the time) the fastest selling game system in the U.K.

The test print for “On The Go” has arrived! I know I’m biased but this book is going to be so good! I want this to be THE book for fans of the PSP. Kickstarter goes live in less than two weeks!

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children on PSP is 20 years old next month! The story wasn’t the strongest but the action and CG graphics were amazing for its time.
