You will always find me in the kitchen at parties, even if I haven’t been invited.
Remember the board game I Vant To Bite Your Finger? Just looking through the photos a the vampire and the board on this eBay listing, and it’s bringing back nostalgia in huge waves. Did you play it? ebay.io/m/Dzk89S
Tonight’s light hearted entertainment is something about lambs at The Lowry. Sounds quite relaxing, tbh. Can’t imagine why they’ve just announced over the tannoy that it features scenes of an adult nature?
Stay away from that Trap Door, ‘Cos there’s something down there… Happy Birthday to The Trap Door tv series. 40 years old today! Did you play Don Priestley’s classic game?
Remember The Trap Door? 6th Oct 1986 was the first time it aired on TV, with the episode ‘Breakfast Time’. Here are my tiny friends Berk, Boni and Drutt. Not sure who that little bear is peeping through in the background, though…
I met up with some twins again yesterday. They were Egg-stremely good at writing games in the 80s. The photographer was lovely too.
Off out to Play Expo Blackpool shortly. If you see us, do say Hi. I’ll be the one in the 80sNos cap.

Watching the 40th Anniversary of Transformers the Movie shortly! Never seen it at the cinema. The first time I saw it was on VHS in 1987, and I’ve owned the DVD and Blu-ray for years. It’s a big moment for me!
Does anyone use the DJ feature in Spotify? It says some weird things. It’s just said, “Some of your 2024 favourites coming up next. Here’s a song you listened to 4 times last month.” Eh?
The Spotify DJ also chooses such bizarre songs to play. “Up next, some tunes I know you gonna like, all with the same vibe.” Then it played Scenes from an Italian Restaurant by Billy Joel, followed by Boom Shake The Room by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince.
We don’t do much between Jan and Aug, but as soon as September hits the fun things always kick in. This week: Yesterday: Vegan Festival in Wigan Wed: Caitlin Moran (Lowry) Thur: Transformers 40th Anniversary screening Sat; Wigan Comiccon Sun: Kubo and the Two Strings screening
Picked up this beauty of a record earlier today from a charity shop in Wigan. I’ve always wanted an album of ice cream van music, but they don’t seem to have made any. This is the closest I think I’ll ever come.
Watching an old Ken Dodd routine on YouTube. Man, he was good! “My granddad, people say he worked like a horse. They used to follow him with a shovel.”
Don’t know what all the fuss is about. Most things can fold down the middle if you try hard enough.
@bellatrellia.bsky.social I’m not sure why my phone prioritises your live streams, but I’m ok with that.
I love 80s computers because they were so relia R Tape loading error, 0:1
Saw Coyote vs Acme today. What a film! Wile E Coyote has been my favourite Looney Tune for decades. I’m pretty much a lifelong fan. It’s a very touching film (I did tear up a couple of times), and I’ll defo be getting on Blu-ray when it comes out. Go and see it while you can.
Today I’m off to watch Coyote vs Acme. Wile E Coyote has been my favourite cartoon character for decades. I was gutted a couple of years ago when I found out they had made a movie with him as the star, but had binned it. Cannot wait to finally see it on the big screen!
Picked up this beautiful Monster Munch artwork from You Ruddy Guys Art a couple of weeks ago. They were made in very limited numbers. It is incredibly reflective & looks glorious in natural light. Check out their Etsy and get yourself a treat. www.etsy.com/uk/shop/YouR...
Just 5 weeks to go until PLAYExpo Blackpool. A huge number of retro arcade games and pinball machines, all on free play, along with traders and special guest talks. Get tickets from www.playexpoblackpool.com
Cannot believe Peter Cullen has passed away. I got to watch him and Frank Welker do a read through at a convention a few years ago, and it genuinely was one of the best things I’ve ever seen and heard. Optimus Prime and Megatron were in that room with me.
What’s the best thing you can buy with adult money? I’m going to suggest you need the Magnum PI Playmobil set. It comes with Magnum, TC, Rick and Higgins. It’s at Costco, by the way.
“…I’m begging of you please don’t take my man.” Rest in Peace, Dolly.
