Great atmosphere at the Whitecaps game on the weekend. I’m still not used to them actually being a good team, even a dominant one, after all this time. But the recent noises about their future are so incredibly depressing. Really hope we don’t lose the team.

We extend our deepest condolences to their families and loved ones.
In the spirit of the mayor’s recent announcement as to pursuing an mlb team for Vancouver, I am calling on the city to provide large cash gifts for all resident Devons. City staff should explore whether Devins should be included in this and if (modest?) lunar properties might also be appropriate.
On the other hand, I did see some nice and fluffy baby geese around today.
Pretty embarrassing for Canada to just merrily sleepwalk into a conservative majority.

It is being reported on the ground in Cuba that everyone on a ventilator at this hospital died overnight. As a Cuban, I'm devastated.
Arturo Dominguez@extremearturo.bsky.social · 6mo agoThis is what I was hoping to see from influencers and independent journalists who traveled to Cuba. The impacts of U.S. actions aren't getting the attention they deserve in mainstream media. My people are being ignored in the U.S. news.
The asbestos, the rodents, and the Carney should all be returned to the official residence until such time as he can demonstrate some personal improvements or the rats have expelled him.
I am again wondering, is Waffles the cat, the horse, or some unknown third party?

I know that Israel’s insistence on carrying out one horror after another is no surprise at this point, but it remains both disgusting and depressing.

They are emptying the land of its population, creating a massive crisis, and will now proceed to further annihilate large parts of Lebanon. The very nation state of Lebanon is being destroyed.
A little tense, a little tense! But what a result…
