Haven't seen the Scottish weather presenter who did today's BBC lunchtime forecast before but, presumably, she's been brought in to reflect Burnham's focus on the north. She mainly banged on about the rain in Scotland and Northern Ireland, while the parched south only got a brief mention.
SCENE: A man runs panicking from a murder scene. He knows he is the murderer's next victim. He runs to a phone box to call the police and leave the clue that will catch his killer. He flings open the door -
Sadly, there will be no ‘more’. We are heartbroken at TPTV to hear that we have lost another dear friend of the channel, Jimmy Cricket. A very lovely and funny man who kept audiences in stiches when he appeared on stage at our festivals. A true comedy legend. Thanks for all the laughs Jimmy.

One of the greatest scenes in film is when Harry Palmer bumps into his boss in the local supermarket and they discuss items on the shelf. Stick that up your arse James Bond.

Saw one in our front garden this morning! Only had my non-smartphone camera, so the photo I took is lousy, but it's the circled blurry grey and orange thing hovering over the pink flowers. Seen them in previous summers and, on first sight a few years ago, I was convinced it was a humming bird.
