Love this approach. Bettye Saar was an influential artist in my university art history focus. The piece showing was one I had the pleasure of seeing and writing about back then. She and Romare Bearden were integral to my future artistic expression. Would be nice to view it again in this context.

Regarding the Ganesh in my pamplisest series, it is a Balinese bone carving gifted to me close to 40 years ago. Its symbolism as both a remover of obstacles and master of serpents has held potent meaning as well. I lived in Indonesia in 87-88, which has held tremendous influence in my life.
