I think writing music is one of the few things that you can truly get better at when taking a break from it. I always come back to it with fewer preconceived ideas of "how one makes music" and more openness and freedom to just explore and express myself.

(xpost from Mastodon) mini-repair monday: my EGA monitor has been slowly fading away over the past few years. at VCF West this year it was too dim to use and i had to borrow one. but let's go fix it now!
Been working away all day getting this new RGB mod running on my Famicom. It used to have a mod installed where the RGB wores were stuck inside the system, so unplugging and moving it was a hassle. But now it only has the plug-in holes. So moving and plugging/unplugging is a breeze! :D
