Last week(?) the Planning Board reviewed the current draft proposal for a new 40R Smart Growth district around Swampscott’s MBTA station. I’m sure it will go through some iteration, but it’s a decent start. Note that they are trying very hard to not include too many existing SFHs here.

This real estate agent (what’s with them all trying to be influencers?) made a video which had a joke about the new bike lane on the Lynnway and I guess got so much criticism he posted a follow-up video saying he actually likes bike lanes but was just trying to point out Lynn’s bad priorities.

We need a term for the rhetorical practice of inventing a theoretical marginalized person who would be harmed by a broadly-beneficial policy that you dislike because it would inconvenience you.
