Does anybody think Real Madrid would brief the media differently if they thought Vini Jr. was probably not going to sign a new contract with them? They’re going to say “we believe he’ll stay” either way because he’s A) staying or B) leaving and they’re now posturing for his transfer fee.

I've seen several variations of the "Jorginho's head hit Bruno's elbow" joke. And, uh, while I know people are just having fun, I don't think that sort of violence will get as much leeway with Bruno wearing red. Not to mention that I'd prefer Arsenal players not do that sort of thing, generally.

Plenty of (correct) talk about how adding Bruno Guimaraes helps Arsenal by taking minutes off Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi. But there's an aspect that isn't getting enough play: Martin Ødegaard. The Brazilian does a fair few of the things the skipper does and could be MØ's long-needed cover.
I'm obligated to point out that Bruno Guimaraes is closer to 29 than he is to 28.
As Arsenal supporters, I think it prudent to agree from the outset that we each get a limited number of "we don't talk about Bruno" references so that we don't overdo it.
Glad that Arsenal did the right thing and are refunding supporters for the preseason streaming packages after the website issues during the Girona match. They haven't resolved the issue, so the Betis match won't be on dot com or the app, either. Just got the email.
To be "fair" the Premier League deciding to go from completely and totally not caring about financial doping to at least pretending to care and wanting to put on an appearance didn't help Newcastle and the PIF.

Max Dowman gets all the attention, rightly so, he's excellent. But also Marli Salmon is a really tidy player. Most importantly, he seems to have the on-ball skill and composure to play CB at this level. CB is a tough position and takes longer to learn. He doesn't look out of place there at 16.

It's gotta be pretty cool for all these youth setup players to participate in the preseason training trip to Spain with the first team. Great opportunity for them to learn about being professionals.

Mon dieu, that's Donny van de Beek on Girona. His career has not gone as you'd expected it might when he was part of those great, young Ajax sides in the late twenty-teens. I guess that can happen when you move to Manchester United these days.
For you U.K. folks, it looks like your best bet (until Arsenal get their website back functioning, hah) is to use a VPN to the U.S. I've been told it's NOT on Prime or DAZN in the U.K.
