And just like that, on my 60th day of writing, this novel is finished. (Also, I nailed that target like Ted Lasso throwing darts.)

I’ve written 77k words in 53 days, and I’m nearing the end of this book. I don’t think I’m ready for it to be over. I might need to spin this MC off into a series. But only if the world wants more historical mysteries featuring research trips, found documents, and the drama of connecting the dots.

I continue to find writing fiction more fulfilling and productive than doomscrolling. Just 33 days into this new novel, and I’ve put 47k words on the page.

Just logging on for a bit. I’m liking’ it.

Nothing like seeing all the *amazing* writers releasing books or receiving awards for them on here to make me question why I’m even *attempting* to write fiction. Feels like trying to find a seat on an over-packed bus. I’ve been told to “stick to podcasting” for years. Maybe they were right?
