I hadn't caught this, but the percent of the population who says "higher prices" are the reason their household finances declined in the last year hit the *all time* high in the UMichigan Sentiment data.

What was the most important paper in energy and the environment this year? Especially economics, but also law, poli sci, etc. What was the key thing the paper told you, especially as it relates to big picture changes in society, politics, technology, and the economy? Self nominations welcome!
