Department of Divinity at the University of Aberdeen — over 500 years of world leading research and teaching!

We are off and away for our PG Symposium Week. Our world-leading postgraduate community has descended onto Aberdeen for a week full of rigorous academic engagements. We're kicking off the week with the first plenary lecture from Dr. Sara Mannen on the Doctrine of God.

A speaker stands at the front of a large lecture hall behind a podium as numerous attendees sit and listen to a lecture. A projector screen is at the front of the room with a powerpoint slide with text on it.

Happy St Andrews day! And a piece of good news/deagh naidheachd from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 as Scots and Gaelic are, as of today, recognised as official languages. As a Scots and Gaelic speaker (well…tha beagan Gàidhlig agam for now) I’m delighted (and officially tri-lingual!) www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The milestone is one of a number of new measures taking effect on St Andrew's Day from the Scottish Languages Act.

While our PhD student community is the largest at the University, our Masters degree cohorts are just as important a part of our studies. Congraultations to our PGT graduands, here with our program director, Dr. Katy Hockey
