I have to collect the stool sample before tomorrow is oncology appointment for Lady Marmalade. Except she's being very tricky and she's not doing her business where I can reach. Tomorrow is our second round of treatment on the new plan so fingers crossed I can get the poop.😂

I definitely have daydreams while I brainstorm! I get the full cinematic treatment. When in actually writing? Not so much😂 I'm focusing on how the words sound together. This means all of my first drafts are shallow & I have to pull out my day dreams again for the editing process. #PretendPanel

🐾 UPDATE 🐾 Marmalade & I were able to get onto a program with more funding. So I am able (for now) to lower the fundraising goal by half! We still might have to do radiation treatments in the future. For now, however, we're focusing on immune injection therapy. 2nd round starts next week!

I had a fun weekend at the Texas Horror Lit Fest & sold more books than thought I would. I also moderated a panel on why we love morally gray characters & spoke on a women in horror panel. Good times!

Sometimes people get heated when I make a comment on my nativeness. Regardless if I'm making a joke or talking serious. I never deny that I'm white. I mean look at me! Virtue signalers have a bad habit of making minority groups a monolith & they stay mad when proven wrong. Sorry not sorry. 😘

My beloved Marmalade has been cleared for treatments! The first round of radiation is on Thurs. We're partnering with UT Southwestern Veterinary Oncology Research Center. So any findings they have with advance a cure for cancer in people, too! #fuckcancer

🐾Help us prevent Marmalade from having an amputation. 🐾 Here favorite thing in the whole world is to "scout ahead" when we take the dogs for a walk. We're working with an oncology research facility that will use her treatment plan to further advancement in the cure for cancer.

Who else is conflicted with not wanting to air their dirty laundry but also feels it's important to share the reality of situations, despite how uncomfortable the subject is?

Marmalade's babysitter didn't want her to be out while I was gone. Which is totally fine! Still, she was very happy yesterday to stretch her legs, fill her lungs, and give a few squirrels a menacing glare. She loves walking the dogs with me & in happy she has the energy for it.❤️
