🎉 Our new GWAS of anxiety symptom severity is out today in Nature Human Behaviour! It's been a pleasure working on this one as part of the core analyst team, and making the infographics for the @pgcgenetics.bsky.social thread below 👇

📢 New publication in @nathumbehav.nature.com from the PGC Anxiety Working Group: the largest GWAS of generalised anxiety symptoms to date, analysing ~700k across 14 cohorts. We found 74 genome-wide significant loci, 39 novel for anxiety.

📢 Our GWAS meta-analysis of anxiety disorders is now published in Nature Genetics! Was a pleasure putting together these posts shared from the @pgcgenetics.bsky.social account to showcase this exciting milestone in anxiety genomics👇

Pleased to share our new preprint on the 1st large-scale GWAS meta-analysis of panic attacks and panic disorder 👇

Excited about our new preprint: 1st successful genome-wide study of >61,000 panic attack and 29,000 panic disorder cases. www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1... We find 17 associations & evidence that peripheral neurons in eye, lungs and heart are involved in panic & other psychiatric disorders 1/n

Check out our new paper on the second UKB mental health questionnaire! Was a pleasure to work on the coding team (incl. new additions of panic disorder & panic attack algorithms with @megsk.bsky.social). Thanks for leading @katrinadavis.bsky.social & coding lead @jonicoleman.bsky.social!

Very pleased to see our paper describing the @ukbiobank.bsky.social second online mental health questionnaire has now been published in @plosone.org! This describes the origin of the resource as well as the data. Fantastic work by Katrina Davis in leading this 👏👏👏 dx.plos.org/10.1371/jour...

Thanks also to the coding team (see next bleet) who put together the algorithms for this work, which can be found here: github.com/ColemanResea... (as well as a mirror on the DATAMIND GitHub) (RAP-friendly implementation is a work in progress...!)
