Tomorrow is both the start of the Greek Festival & also Janmashtami - the celebration of the appearance day of Lord Krishna. I actually like celebrating it with them because they're so joyful & 99% of the local community is of West Asian heritage & I appreciate not always being around whiteness

Rereading Wendell Berry's, "Why I Am Not Going to Buy a Computer" last night is making me consider again how much of my life I'm spending not actually being involved in my life due to social media, TV etc. When I get too caught up in those distractions, I'm not even an active participant in my life
