Young Sparrow bullies its mum for more food! We always have lots of sparrows here in the garden. Near Ellon. Aberdeenshire
The Clematis is flowering now. Looked a bit off earlier this year but it’s recovering well. Still some dead leaves but it’s fighting back.
The wildflower patch continues to grow more flowers every day! Fairly attractive to the bees anyway!
The Black Castle of Moulin (Caisteal Dubh), located just southeast of Moulin in Pitlochry. A ruined 14th-century fortress. Built in 1326, the castle was deliberately destroyed in the 1500s when all the residents caught the plague.
Staying at the Moulin Inn at Pitlochry for a couple of nights. Lovely old coaching inn with a microbrewery out the back in the old stables.
Lindsey’s wildflower patch that’s been gradually growing is now starting to flower. It doesn’t look like it until you start to look closely. Good for the bees and insects.

Newhall Estate, Carlops (south of Edinburgh) we had the pleasure of being invited to a wedding last weekend. It was a fabulous event and a lovely place to spend the time.

New weather station up and running. The old one succumbed to far too much bad weather! Aberdeenshire has on average twice the amount of rain for January. It’s been at least 20 days since the last day it wasn’t raining. Finally today it’s stopped.
