I am gonna read it in the book after our session to see if the DM is just running it wrong, but if not then the Raum encounter from The Crooked Moon is the worst boss encounter I think I have ever experienced in over 30 years of playing.

Why do bad D&D players always play spell casters?
That fucking wizard school is like cis religion.
Had a customer ask for help finding a board game and I showed her Azul. She said, "I don't like that one, it's too complicated." It was very hard for me to not be like, ma'am, I think you might be in the wrong hobby.
I like how The Hobbit doesn’t pull punches even though it’s a kid’s book. Tolkien’s like, no, I assure you, dear reader, the goblins ate all the dwarves’ horses.
So I’m reading a copy of The Hobbit from 1977 and what strikes me most about the book is that there are ABSOLUTELY NO ADS. None at the front or back, except for a single page listing the other Middle-Earth books but that’s just a list. The book literally ends on the last page.
“[Elrond] comes into many tales, but his part in the story of Bilbo’s greatest adventure is only a small one, though important, as you will see, if we ever get to the end of it.” You’re the one setting the pace here, John! It’s up to you when we get to the end!
Picked up a fantasy novel only to realize it is generated slop from the sheer number of em-dashes in it. Don’t fall for it like I did.
Hey friends! If you’d like to check out my friend Anna Belle’s music, you can give it a listen here. If you like what you hear, maybe consider picking up a track or two. That’s all I ask! byannabelle.bandcamp.com/album/mask

I was playing D&D the other day and my fighter took a crit and the bard said “I’ll cast Silvery Barbs!” and the way I wanted to just strangle them… The spell is garbage. I hate it, I hate that DMs continue to allow it.
look its simple: if roger rabbit is exonerated the toons gain control of the acme corporation leading to "coyote vs acme". if roger rabbit is convicted, humans retain control as seen in "looney tunes: back in action". if marvin acme is never killed then chip and dale rescue rangers (2022) happens
they're called the beatles because they liked to beat off together. which was much harder at the time since rpg maker hadn't been invented yet
People just walk into the game store all the time asking if we're hiring and proceed to disqualify themselves from ever being hired in the next 10 minutes.
Just read “OSE is not D&D, no one would call it D&D” and woke up on the floor five minutes later with blood coming out of my nose.
One thing I appreciate about The One Ring is how the atmosphere and mood have tangible effects. In the starter set, there is a dangerous encounter that is literally just “the vibes are bad”. If the PCs don’t just bypass but actively confront the vibes to make them better, the final boss is weaker.
The great thing about being a Grape Nuts enjoyer is that no one is ever gonna steal your cereal while you aren’t at home. They are basically flavored fiber rocks.
5E players complaining about THAC0 when not a single one can roll critical damage correctly in their own game.
I expect some amount of rules lookup in an actual play. That is a normal thing that happens at games. However, they are also put out for entertainment, so after a point people either need to be on their game or you need to use the power of editing.
