An incredible day yesterday, spent with a major U.S. collector of stereoscopy who is downsizing. He has generously donated four full travel sets of Irish stereoviews (totalling 400 images), plus c100 more, to University College Dublin. These are extraordinary photos, dating from the 1880s-1900s.

Today's plenary at #NationalACIS26 was delivered by James Walsh of the University of Colorado, Denver, and his students. The group's presentation was titled "Leadville's Irish Pauper Memorial: A New Lens into the Rocky Mountain Irish Immigrant Story."

There really is nothing like an @acirishstudies.bsky.social conference for collegiality. My first ACIS was 18 years ago and I can’t wait for next year in the Pitt.
