From the rugged outports of Newfoundland Kate dreams of a life filled with music, laughter, and love... Across the Tides is a sweeping saga of resilience, devotion, and the power of faith to reunite what life has torn apart.
Sometimes there are no words. We don’t know what to say or how to make things better & that’s okay. We can simply be there. We can listen. Offer a hug, a hand to hold, or a quiet reminder: You don’t have to go through this alone. I’m here. Sometimes our presence says what words never could.
Will the Kennedy Center Survive? My conversation with Joy Reid plus Chris Whipple on JD Vance’s Past Support for Hillary Clinton • Plus Jim chuckles over Vance’s comment to “give us another chance.” Yeah right!

It’s Monday. Wear the good earrings. Turn up the music. Laugh a little too loud. You don’t have to ease quietly into a new week. Bring joy with you. Bring some attitude. Bring a version of you that refuses to let Monday have the power. Monday may have shown up…but so did you. #Jaye’sMorningLight
Good Thursday morning! Look how far you’ve come! Before you hurry toward whatever comes next, turn around for just a moment. Remember the hard days you made it through, the laughter you found along the way, and the person you became. You’re doing better than you think. #Jaye’sMorningLight
I’ve lived 83 years believing the Supreme Court was an anchor. Lately it appears more like a political instrument with heavy ethics problems. This is undeniable. If that’s what passes for “justice,” maybe I wasn’t naïve. Maybe the institution drifted in the tides.

Carney: We’ve been under no illusions. We recognized from the start that America has changed
Whether it's a trade war with Canada or an actual war with Iran, the pattern is the same: Americans are paying the price for the President's choices.
Hard days don’t define you. Pain, fear, and loneliness may visit, but they don’t get to stay forever. Your feelings are part of your journey—not your identity. Hold on. The clouds will pass, and the light will return. 💙 #Jaye’sMorningLight
With broken hearts we announce the passing of Glen Hansard in the early hours of this morning. We are still dealing with the shock of it all, so we kindly ask that the privacy of Glen’s family, colleagues and friends is respected at this difficult time. . Photo by Mikolaj Rotowski

I need pockets in my pajamas. Because at 3 am, I’m not trying to spelunk up my sleeve for a Kleenex like a Victorian ghost. If my phone isn’t in a pocket while I make coffee, I’m forced into a full sprint back to the nightstand when an early call comes in. Pajama pockets: not a luxury… a lifestyle.

"Donald Trump's administration said crews will "immediately" dismantle a massive UFC fighting arena after the end of the president's 80th birthday match on the White House lawn." ... But is the ugly sinful looking monstrosity still there? 😡
There is a blue moon tomorrow. Trump will be howling.
🌸 Good Morning, friends! Every sunrise is a reminder that goodness still blooms in the world — sometimes quietly, sometimes in dazzling color. Let’s notice it, nurture it, and add our own kindness to the mix today. #Jaye’sMorningLight
