VFX Artist. I expect to mostly talk about politics and geek stuff— media, games, comics.

28YL:BoneTemple (2026) The latest installment in the sprawling, interconnected 28-X-later franchise, released roughly 28 weeks after its predecessor. Companion volume to 28-years, the previous film is load-bearing— a baffling choice that doomed it at the box office. letterboxd.com/adamianix/fi...

Hey! So it's October! Every year, I do a 31-day-31 movie marathon, and write about it here and on Letterboxd. Tonight will be kicking off with Young Frankenstein, and then on to Backrooms thereafter. I'd love suggestions for movies and specific directors that might be worth adding to the list.

To whom it may concern: I do not wish to log in. I do not wish to register. I extremely do not wish to subscribe to your newsletter. I would just like a normal, browsable website, please. Paywall can be its own thing, this is a separate issue. Thank you for your cooperation.

Finally got my copy of Blades '68 today. Excited about the Cold Opens and Ticking Timebombs. Hoping the Trouble Engine will make the non-score parts of the game easier. Not sure if I'll be able to talk my group into letting me run it yet, but *man*, @olddog.games makes a pretty looking game.

Trying to replace Spotify; aside from paying the artists terribly, I can no longer reliably ask for music and expect to avoid AI songs. So I sign up for Tidal. But it turns out they don't do podcasts. I'm now like nine websites deep on trying to find something that my Alexa will tolerate.

I haven’t had a DVD player or PC disc drive installed for a number of years now, so the Sony thing doesn’t affect what I buy for myself. But I buy nieces and nephews games for birthdays and Christmas several times a year. That is SO much easier to do with a physical copy.

my entire life I felt a gradual sense of progress & change but I never felt like I was in ‘the future’, but post like 2020 I 100% do feel like that like a major news story right now is the company that thinks it’s product is sentient refusing to turn it into a killbot, that’s Future News

I have come to the realization that I experience sports the way normal people experience the MCU. You know-- got the basics when I was a kid; seems a little silly now; the events are still OK if samey; I don't know who all the new people are and there's too much homework you're expected to know.

Hey RPG folks! I'm trying to decide on my 2026 campaign. I'm hoping to find something whose character options strongly prescribe player-driven arcs like Masks or Chuubo's (late era MotW seems to be edging into this territory). Recommend games to me?

What is the state of the art for live-streaming movies with a group? Watch Party? Teleparty? W2G? Twitch? Youtube? Hypothetically, if I wanted to end my Halloween movie marathon streaming a shared viewing of the Exorcist, at midnight on Halloween, what would be the best way to do that?
